Kaustubh Gold & Minerals Limited is committed to respecting and upholding internationally recognised human rights across our operations and value chain, in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), ILO Core Labour Standards, and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
1. Human Rights Commitments
- Prohibition of forced labour, child labour, and compulsory labour in any form
- Right to freedom of association and collective bargaining
- Non-discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, age, or other protected characteristics
- Safe and healthy working conditions meeting or exceeding applicable legal standards
- Payment of fair wages meeting or exceeding the applicable minimum wage
- Prohibition of physical and psychological harassment and abuse
- Respect for community land rights and free, prior, and informed consent
2. Human Rights Due Diligence
We conduct human rights due diligence as part of our supply chain management and third-party risk assessment processes, including identification and assessment of potential adverse human rights impacts.
3. Supply Chain
We expect all suppliers and business partners to apply equivalent human rights standards. Human rights compliance requirements are embedded in our supplier contracts.
4. Community Engagement
We recognise the importance of meaningful community engagement — particularly in relation to mining and sourcing activities in Africa. We support community consultation processes and respect local land rights.
5. Grievance Mechanism
We maintain an accessible grievance mechanism for workers and community members to raise human rights concerns. All complaints are investigated promptly, confidentially, and without retaliation.
